The colour green symbolises harvest, new beginnings and happiness. The colour green also indicates nature, one of the most important things that we need to look after.

Blue stands for power and life. It is one of the strongest colours used during Holi. This hue also resembles Lord Krishna who taught mankind the right way to lead life.

White stands for serenity. It also indicates purity and peace. Though white is not frequently used, it is one colour that adds a touch to the festival of colours.

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you look at the colour yellow? This soothing shade resembles holiness and a has a healing power.

Red & Pink:
The colour stands for romance and compassion. But, when it comes to this festival, the colour red symbolises Lord Durga, who is dressed in a blood-red saree, who incites fear and at the same time purity. The colour red also signifies fertility and opulence.

Black is always termed as evil, since it is the darkest shade. However, in terms of this festival, the colour black represents the prevention of evil.

Metallic Colours:
In the recent times, the use of metallic colours during Holi has become a popular trend. Metallic colours are a combination of every colour, and thus this signifies that we have a part of everything in life.
